The Codex Alimentarius Commission

The Codex Alimentarius Commission was established by the United Nations as a subcommittee of the Food and Agriculture Organization within the World Health Organization in 1963. The official chain of command according to the United Nations is:

  1. The United Nations
  2. The World Health Organization
  3. The Food and Agriculture Organization
  4. The Codex Alimentarius Commission

The stated purpose of the Commission is to protect the health of food consumers. To better understand this purpose, one needs to follow the process of defining "food." In the beginning, food was food crops, the kinds of berries, fruits, grains, herbs, nuts, seeds, spices and vegetables the consumers of the world eat on a daily basis. Over the first twenty years of the Commission's existence, this definition was expanded to include synthetic food flavorings and colorings, pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, rodenticides, natural and synthetic vitamins, natural and chemically alThered minerals and eventually pharmaceuticals.

The CAC is formed by members selected from the following five industries: 1) pharmaceutical, 2) food processing, 3) petrochemical, 4) genetic engineering, and the medical community that supports the other four groups. CAC and the corporations that support the members with legal staff, office workers and a grand lifestyle wrote the basic guidelines for food safety and consumer protection.

It should come as no surprise that as the commission grows in power the CAC has expanded it's sphere of influence under the banner of "protecting the public interest." Of course, that has been proven to be a myth. All of these industries profit a good deal from the activities of the commission.

These activities include:

  1. Establishing levels of petrochemical use in growing food crops that are toxic to all living things. For example, DDT was banned in the USA several years ago because DDT proved to be decimating local wildlife. Since the Commission approves the use of DDT on food crops, Mexico and other countries regularly import DDT laden foods into America.
  2. Establishing levels of vitamin and mineral intake far below human requirements. For example, the human body requires a minimum of about 8 mg of Vitamin C per pound of body weight to stabilize the human immune system. A 200 pound adult needs about 1600 mg of vitamin C daily. The Commission recommended daily allowance officially adopted by most governments in the world today is 180 mg.
  3. Determining, without any scientific evidence, that genetically modified organisms are inherently as safe as the non-genetically modified plants. For example, syrup processed from genetically modified corn is known to cause sterility in animals fed "sweet feed" consisting of grains "sweetened" with corn syrup. That same corn syrup is approved for human consumption.
  4. Determining, without any scientific evidence, that flu vaccines are safe and recommending mass inoculations "in the public interest," even though the vaccines are known to contain mercury. Mercury is a neurotoxin that kills brain cells much like Chlorine and Fluorine "kill" the Ozone in our upper atmosphere causing global warming. Unfortunately, mercury kills the brain.
  5. Raising levels of contamination allowed in processed foods because "irradiation renders them inert." There is no scientific evidence irradiation renders rat and mouse urine, feces or hair inert. There is no scientific evidence irradiation renders insect parts and wastes inert. There is no scientific evidence irradiated foods are safe for human consumption. There is scientific proof that irradiation kills or maims plant enzymes along with bacteria, fungi and viruses that become a part of the processed food. Maimed bacteria, fungi and viruses continue to live and reproduce even after we consume them.
  6. Determining, without any scientific evidence, that synthetic food flavorings and colorings are as safe as natural flavorings and colorings. This is despite the fact that food flavorings now legally include known toxic chemicals as sweeteners, appetite enhancers to entice the consumer to consume more, margarine and processed corn syrup which are known to be a toxic weight gain products, and that synthetic food colorings have been shown to reduce mental activities such as concentration, focus of attention and memory.
  7. Determining it is "in the public interest" to generically label synthetic food products as spices, flavoring or coloring. It's near impossible to obtain a list of ingredients in any of these products because the processor can consider these as "proprietary formulas." Proprietary means they own the formula and legally do not have to disclose want's in it.

The Codex Alimentarius Commission is recognized by the World Trade Organization as the final international authority in determining food safety and consumer protection. That's a scary thought, but it's true. Whatever the Commission decides is "the truth" by law and that law is routinely upheld by the World Court. Part of that "truth" is the list of the seven items given above. The rest of that truth can be discovered by following the money.

Codex and Money

The Codex Alimentarius Commission is funded by the pharmaceutical, petrochemical, food processing and bioengineering companies. The rule of thumb is the Golden Rule: "He who has the gold, rules." Or, in the vernacular: "Whoever pays the bills is the boss."

The large multi-national corporations clandestinely form non-profit charities to support their commercial interests. That charity hires lobbyists and marketing experts to influence local and federal legislation anyplace in the world.

For example, a pharmaceutical company might start a charity ostensibly to research cures for a certain disease. The company already has a new drug to address that disease. The charity hires a number of sales people to educate the medical profession concerning this drug. They hire a number of doctors to educate the public concerning the benefits of this drug. They hire a number of researchers to design a drug test assuring success. They hire a number of lobbyists to influence legislation and administrative orders for the benefit of the company that funds the charity. Then they renounce the competition and use their influence to legally declare all other remedies ineffective, adulterated and illegal. The plan is to remove the competition and increase corporate profits.

This is one company funding one charity. The truth is the top 100 companies in these industries fund over 500 charities all designed to improve profits with tax exempt dollars. The really good news for these companies is that membership dues in "their charity" and donations from the public pay all of the overhead for the charity with money left over to pay for research. It should be obvious by now who controls that research.

In all activities sanctioned by the CAC, the corporate interests pulling the strings behind the scenes all support the sanctioned activity. When an issue for the benefit of one industry comes before a legislative body, you can expect all of the charities controlled by all of the Codex members and the companies themselves will have all of their lobbyists working under the CAC's supervision to influence the passage of that legislation.

The unofficial chain of command as observed by natural healthcare lobbyists has become:

  1. Codex Alimentarius Commission (CAC)
  2. United Nations (UN)
  3. World Health Organization (WHO)
  4. Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO)

The only group that has defeated any CAC efforts to date is Health Freedom USA which has mustered hundreds of thousands of American citizens to protect health freedom in the USA by contacting their legislator. But the CAC has a strong foothold in the UN and is influencing small and undeveloped countries as well as license board activities here in America.
